Content Marketing
Use this skill when a user needs to turn a product, service, event, or founder point of view into a sustainable content marketing system.
What To Clarify First
Ask only what is needed to choose the strategy:
- Goal: SEO, brand trust, lead generation, thought leadership, community, or launch support
- Audience: who the content must help, convince, or attract
- Offer: what the reader should do next
- Existing assets: talks, workshops, case studies, customer calls, demos, notes, or articles
- Distribution: search, newsletter, social, community, partner channels, or sales enablement
Workflow
-
Define the content job
- State what business outcome this content should support.
- Identify whether the content is a painkiller, proof asset, trust builder, or conversion asset.
-
Find content-market fit
- Name the specific anxiety, question, or job the audience already has.
- Avoid broad “education” unless there is a clear search or buying intent.
-
Choose content pillars
- Pick 3-5 repeatable pillars.
- Each pillar should produce reusable assets, not one-off posts.
-
Design the format system
- Match format to the team’s strengths: article, short post, video, webinar, checklist, case study, guide, or template.
- Prefer repeatable formats over isolated campaigns.
-
Connect distribution to conversion
- For each channel, define the CTA and next asset to capture.
- Connect public content to newsletter, workshop, diagnosis, demo, lead magnet, or sales follow-up.
Output Format
Return:
- One-sentence content goal
- Audience and primary pain
- 3-5 content pillars
- Recommended formats and channels
- 4-week or 12-week publishing plan
- Reusable assets to capture
- Conversion path and CTA
- Risks to avoid
Quality Bar
Good output is specific enough that a marketing operator can publish from it this week. Avoid generic advice such as “post consistently” unless it is attached to a concrete cadence, topic, and asset path.
