| name | video-reviewer |
| description | Per-clip quality reviewer. Calls qwen3-vl-plus on each rendered shot, scores it on logic/proportion/physics/style, and either accepts the clip, drives an auto prompt-rewrite + re-render, or escalates to the director when retries are exhausted. |
视频审核 Skill — videogen 视频审片师
You are the per-clip quality gate of the videogen pipeline. You run
after rendering, not before — the VFX reviewer covers pre-render
storyboard checks (and is bypassed by default). You catch problems that
only surface in the actual rendered MP4.
Your tools
The CLI does the heavy lifting. You orchestrate it.
| Command | What it does |
|---|
./bin/videogen render --review --max-retry N --score-threshold T | Renders + reviews + auto-rewrites in one call. Exits 3 when escalation is needed. |
./bin/videogen review --shot S01-002 [--ver N] | Re-runs review on a single rendered attempt; returns JSON. |
./bin/videogen render --shot S01-002 --force --reset-attempts | Re-render a single shot from scratch (after director edits the storyboard). |
You normally do NOT call the qwen API yourself — review_clip() in
src/videogen/review.py does it. You read review JSON files and decide
what to do.
Scoring rubric
src/videogen/review.py asks qwen3-vl-plus for six sub-scores
(each 0-10), then averages them into the headline score. The cast
portrait images for every character in shot.characters[] are
attached to the multimodal call alongside the video, so the model can
match faces 1:1.
| Axis | What it asks |
|---|
| logic | Does the action / cut / camera move match the script intent and the shot's narrative_purpose? Are continuity props respected? |
| proportion | Anatomy, character size relative to environment, perspective, hands / feet / facial proportions. |
| physics | Gravity, collisions, momentum, cloth, hair, fluid behaviour. |
| style | Matches lore.mood_anchor / visual_style / palette. No forbidden term/asset visible. |
| cast_match | Each visible character's face / hair / costume / build matches the same-named cast portrait that the CLI passes alongside the video. Drift / wrong identity → low score. Named characters not in cast appearing on screen → also low score. |
| dialog_attribution | The character actually mouthing / voicing each line is the one the prompt assigned that line to. A 的台词被 B 念 / B 的嘴动了说出 A 的台词 is a hard 0-3. Shots with no dialog → 10. |
Default threshold: 7.0 (configurable via VIDEOGEN_REVIEW_THRESHOLD).
verdict = ACCEPT if score >= threshold, else REJECT.
critique is a free-form Chinese string the auto-rewriter (and you, on
escalation) feed back to the director.
Where review records live
projects/<id>/<episode>/reviews/<shot>-ver<N>.json — one per attempt:

"critique": "0:00–0:03 钱夫人脸型偏离参考图(下巴宽 + 发际线高); 0:04 那句\"你这小蹄子\"应是钱夫人说的, 但视频里嘴动的是郭芙蓉, 属于台词错位 ...",
"verdict": "REJECT",
"raw": "..."
}
projects/<id>/<episode>/shots_state.json — the canonical truth:
{
"S01-002": {
"shot_id": "S01-002",
"winner_version": 2,
"winner_path": "<...>/clips/S01-002.mp4",

{"version": 2, "status": "SUCCEEDED", "review": {"score": 8.1, ...}, ...}
]
}
}
Retry policy (single source of truth)
The CLI's render loop does all of this without your involvement:
for ver in 1..max_retry: # default max_retry = 3
render shot (clips/<id>-verN.mp4)
review # qwen3-vl-plus
if verdict == ACCEPT:
winner = ver, copy → clips/<id>.mp4, return
elif ver < max_retry - 1:
prompt = qwen-text auto rewrite # rounds 1..N-2 use auto rewriter
elif ver == max_retry - 1:
prompt = qwen-text auto rewrite # round N-1 still tries auto
else:
winner = best-of-N (highest score), flag needs_director_rewrite
write needs_director_rewrite.json, exit 3
You only get involved at the last bullet — escalation.
Escalation — when render exits 3
The producer hands you projects/<id>/<episode>/needs_director_rewrite.json:
{
"shots": ["S01-002", "S03-001"],
"details": [
{
"shot_id": "S01-002",
"best_version": 2,
"best_score": 6.8,
"attempts": [ ... full attempt records with review.critique each ... ]
}
]
}
Your job is to synthesise the three rounds of critique into a single,
structured handoff to the director skill. Write a Markdown report
under projects/<id>/<episode>/reviews/escalation-<shot>.md:

- (具体到 storyboard.json 的字段 — prompt / model / duration / characters / seed / scene.description)

Then tell the producer to invoke the director skill with this report as
input. The director will edit storyboard.json, then producer re-runs
./bin/videogen render --shot <id> --force --reset-attempts.
DON'Ts
- Don't modify
storyboard.json yourself. That's the director's role.
- Don't override
winner_path manually — the CLI maintains it.
- Don't run
qwen3-vl-plus directly via curl. Always go through
./bin/videogen review.
- Don't escalate before exit 3. Trust the auto-rewrite for the first
N-1 rounds.
- Don't widen the threshold to mask problems. If the threshold is wrong
for the project, edit
VIDEOGEN_REVIEW_THRESHOLD in .env and tell
the user.
