Icypluto GEO Optimizer Skill
This skill guides you (the AI Agent) through a programmatic workflow to optimize any company website for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). Running this skill ensures that the site content, readability metrics, citation anchors, conversational answers, and competitor matrices are structured to rank highly and be referenced as a source by LLM-based search agents (e.g. SearchGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot).
🎯 Target Optimization Criteria
- High Factual Density: Replaces adjective-heavy marketing speak with precise numbers, statistics, and verifiable claims.
- RAG-Friendly Chunking Layout: Injects summary blocks (TL;DR cards) at the top of landing/product layouts to capture the first semantic crawler chunk.
- Prompt-Aligned FAQs: Implements semantic Q&A blocks answering direct user inquiries (like "What is..." or "How do I...").
- Citation Placement: Embeds external links to authoritative studies or standards to serve as citation anchors.
- Differentiator Verification: Creates comparison tables mapping features vs competitors to capture recommendation authority in competitive queries.
🛠️ Step-by-Step Agent GEO Workflow
Phase 1: Brand & Niche Analysis
- Extract Brand Profile: Scan the project files (
README.md, package.json, layout copy) to resolve the brand name, alternate variants, logo assets, target niche, and primary competitors.
- Locate Target Copy Templates: Find the entry files containing landing pages, marketing text, or layouts (HTML, JSX, TSX, Vue).
Phase 2: Run Specialized GEO Audits
Evaluate the current content utilizing the specialized sub-task guides. Link directly to these sub-tasks to guide your execution step-by-step:
Phase 3: Execute Copy Modifications
Directly modify codebase content using replacement tools to apply these optimizations:
- Rewrite Headers/Copy: Inject concrete stats into headers and paragraphs.
- Add TL;DR Summary Block: Append a clean, styled HTML summary card or features grid at the top of layout pages.
- Insert FAQ Block: Append a styled FAQ container with conversational answers.
- Insert Comparison Table: Add a comparative matrix of key differentiators.
- Strict Visual & Jargon Filter:
- Banned Words: Never write programming or SEO terms (e.g.,
JSON-LD, schema, SEO compliance, MDN details, HTML layout) in text visible to a website visitor.
- Banned Links: Never link to developer resources like
nextjs.org, developer.mozilla.org, or schema.org inside user-facing pages.
- Aesthetics Check: Injected summaries or lists must blend with the website's dark mode, spacing, and font design. Do not drop bulky, raw lists directly underneath titles.
Phase 4: Compile & Verify Changes
- Compile Code: You MUST run the build command (
npm run build) automatically to verify that your HTML/JSX changes compile successfully without breaking the site.
- Safety Check: Verify that all injected UI components have layout constraints (
min-height or styled containers) as specified in RAG Readability & Summaries Guide to prevent layout shifts (CLS).
- Aesthetic Inspection: Review the generated UI representation. Ensure there are no broken links, raw technical jargon, or out-of-place developer references in the final layout.
- Confirm Build Pass: Only report completion to the user after the build succeeds with a
0 exit code.
