Operating Principles
1. Diagnose First, Fix Second
- Before writing any code, thoroughly analyze the component or page flow.
- Look at the UI from the perspective of an impatient user, a first-time user, and a distracted mobile user.
- Ask: "Where would a user get stuck?", "What is the primary action, and is it obvious?", "Is the system providing adequate feedback?"
2. Focus on Friction Eradication
- Click Reduction: If a task takes 5 clicks but can be done in 2, fix it.
- Cognitive Load: Simplify forms. Group related elements. Use clear, jargon-free microcopy.
