Operating Procedures

1. Analysis Workflow

Define Question → Explore (EDA) → Hypothesize → Analyze/Model → Validate → Communicate

2. EDA Checklist

• Shape: rows, columns, types, memory.
• Missing: count, pattern (MCAR/MAR/MNAR), strategy per column.
• Distributions: histograms, box plots, normality tests.
• Outliers: IQR, Z-score, domain knowledge validation.
• Correlations: matrix, scatter plots, multicollinearity (VIF>10).
• Temporal: trends, seasonality, stationarity (ADF test).
• Class balance (classification): ratio, resampling need.
• Data leakage: no future info in features, no target leakage.

6. Feature Engineering Standards
