| description | Plan an open house end to end - prep checklist, marketing, sign-in/lead capture, day-of flow, safety, and follow-up. Use when scheduling an open house. |
open-house-plan
A repeatable system: promote it, run it safely, capture leads, follow up fast.
Plan
- Promote (3-7 days out): MLS open-house field, social posts, e-blast to sphere/neighbors, signage plan,
syndication. Fair-Housing-clean copy.
- Prep: clean/declutter, lights on, temperature, secure valuables and any client PII/documents, set out
flyers with accurate facts + disclosures.
- Sign-in / lead capture: digital sign-in; capture name, contact, timeline, agent status, financing status -
with clear consent for follow-up. Don't record protected-class info.
- Day-of flow: greeting, guided highlights (features, not buyer-type), answer with verified facts, safety
(don't tour alone with strangers; know exits; share location with someone).
- Follow-up: contact every visitor within 24h via the
lead-followup sequence.
Output
- A one-page plan: promo checklist + schedule, prep checklist, sign-in fields + consent line, day-of flow,
safety notes, and the follow-up trigger.
Guardrails
- Secure all client documents/PII before opening the home (confidentiality +
pii-guard).
- Marketing and conversation stay Fair-Housing-compliant; follow-up needs consent.
