Follow these steps:

Review the code changes so you understand the work that was done.
Confirm that you are on main branch.
Checkout a new branch.
Add all the current changes (add everything).
Commit with a descriptive message.
Push the branch to GitHub.
Open a pull request to merge the branch into main.
Update the pull request description with details about the changes and why they were made.
Merge the pull request immediately.
Checkout main and pull the latest changes.
