Map a corpus of historical research papers — archival basis, school lineage, temporal-spatial coverage, methodological distribution, conceptual contention, theoretical borrowings, open questions, and a newcomer's reading route. Emits Obsidian-friendly Markdown with ASCII and SVG visualizations. Use for 5–30 history papers read together, when the reader wants to see a body of scholarship whole — what it rests on, what it quarrels about, what it agrees upon without saying. Trigger on phrases like "survey this literature", "map these papers", "give me the landscape", "literature review on X", "how does this field stand", or when a batch of history papers needs cross-reading rather than individual x-rays. For a single paper, see `xray-paper`.
