Core commands for building the site, running tests, and checking code quality.

When to Use

• After creating or editing content, templates, or components
• Running or writing tests
• Checking TypeScript types or linting
• Debugging build or test failures
• After changing products.yaml: run build:sync then deploy
• Before deploying: always build first (or use the manager's "Build + Deploy" button)

Commands

bun run build	Compile all Markdown → HTML in dist/
bun run dev	Start Rspack dev server on port 3000 with HMR
bun run test:run	Run all tests once
bun run test	Run tests in watch mode
bun run typecheck	TypeScript type checking
bun run lint	ESLint
bun run build:sync	Stripe sync + compile (required after changing products.yaml)
bun run build:sync:force	Force-recreate all Stripe Payment Links + compile
bun run deploy:cloudflare:pages	Deploy static site to Cloudflare Pages (Direct Upload API)
bun run deploy:checkout:cloudflare	Deploy checkout Worker to Cloudflare Workers

Build Pipeline

1. Scan — find all .md files in content/
2. Parse — extract YAML frontmatter, compile Markdown
3. Render — apply templates and resolve {{tag}} placeholders
4. Output — write HTML to dist/
5. Assets — copy static/ files to dist/

Running Tests

Tests are co-located with source files:

src/core/

Writing Tests

Use Bun test with the happy-dom environment:

Rules:

• Co-locate tests: <name>.test.ts next to <name>.ts
• Write tests first — failing test, then implement
• Use .js extension in imports (TypeScript path mapping)
• Descriptive test names that read like documentation

Deploy

Deploy static site (Cloudflare Pages)

bun run build:sync          # if products changed — syncs Stripe, rebuilds
bun run deploy:cloudflare:pages   # uploads dist/ via CF Direct Upload API

Deploy checkout Worker

bun run deploy:checkout:cloudflare

Requires in .env:

• CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN (scoped token with Pages:Edit — NOT the Global API Key)
• CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_ID
• CF_PAGES_PROJECT

Manager Build Page

The manager's Build page (/sites/:id/build) has:

• Build + Deploy buttons per target — combines build and deploy in one streaming log
• Build only button — compiles without deploying

Pre-commit Checklist

bun run typecheck && bun run lint && bun run test:run

All must pass before committing.

Troubleshooting

Tests fail:

• Check imports use .js extension
• Run single file to isolate: bun run test:run -- src/core/specific.test.ts
• Focus with .only: describe.only(...) or it.only(...)

Build fails:

• Run bun run typecheck to find type errors
• Check frontmatter syntax in content files
• Verify content/ directory exists

EADDRINUSE error:

• Server is already running — don't kill it, just inform the user
