| description | Prepare Peter for an inbound PAID career / résumé consultation before it happens. Give it the booking — a Gmail thread, the appointment email, or just the client's name — and it reads the client's pre-consult reply + CV + LinkedIn, then builds a ready-to-use prep Doc in Peter's 職涯諮詢 folder: the GROW-model intake (Goal / Reality / Options / Will / Story / Summary) prefilled from the client's own words, an opener checklist of the make-or-break facts to confirm first (visa/work-rights for overseas moves, CV-vs-email inconsistencies), the client's own questions regrouped under GROW, a consultant-side CV health-check, and a 60-minute agenda. Trigger on /career-consult, "prep for my consult", "幫我準備諮詢", "準備職涯諮詢", "prep the career consultation", "我等等有一場付費諮詢", or whenever Peter forwards / points at a "職涯、履歷付費諮詢" appointment booking and wants something prepared ahead — even if he only gives the client's name or the calendar subject line. This is the PREP skill (build the briefing before the call). Distinct from cv-customizer (rewrites a CV against one specific job description) and from consult-project-specialist / consult-intake (which track SALES / advisory engagements as CRM deals, not 1-on-1 career coaching clients). When Peter has a career-coaching session coming up and wants to walk in prepared, prefer this skill. |

Career Consult Prep
npx skills add https://github.com/peter-tu-zynkr/zynkr-skill-builder --skill career-consult
Peter runs a paid 1-on-1 career / résumé consultation service (NT$1,800 / 60 min,
booked through Google Calendar appointment scheduling). Clients book a slot and
are asked to email their background + questions + CV at least 48h ahead. This
skill turns that raw inbound material into a prep Doc Peter can walk in and
use — so the hour is spent advising, not reading a CV cold.
The prep Doc is the Career development (GROW) tab of Peter's template,
prefilled from what the client already told him, plus the four things that make
preparation valuable: the facts to confirm before anything else, the client's own
questions mapped to the framework, a quick CV health-check, and a time plan.
It runs mostly autonomously: read → prefill → create → report. The one place
to pause is if you genuinely can't find the client's materials (see Step 1).
How this differs from its neighbours
- cv-customizer — rewrites ONE CV against ONE job description through a 5-phase
pipeline. Use it when the client has picked a specific role and wants the résumé
tailored. career-consult is upstream of that: prep for the conversation.
- consult-project-specialist / consult-intake — track SALES / advisory
engagements as CRM deals + project folders. A career-coaching client is not a
CRM deal; their record is the prep Doc in the 職涯諮詢 folder, nothing in Supabase.
Fixed facts (don't re-derive these)
- Google account for all Gmail / Drive / Docs tools:
peter_tu@zynkr.ai
- GROW template (
[1] 履歷、職涯諮詢模板, read its Career development tab
for the canonical question set): 1FLERQy5pAVly0s9T9nmTVmt0wT-t1GheGdMV8vQBYIk
- 職涯諮詢 working folder (where the new prep Doc is filed):
1tkcJeV8silMmCZgNoOz0-SYXsEIQX2Sd
- Closed-case archive (past examples + the running case-number sequence):
11m4Ysbq7huzA6suva7UoLHmmDVOwtaW6
- Tracking sheet (
職涯諮詢追蹤總表, optional log — see Step 7): 1bBcfxgMR8sZjqQcTwWhPEG4A4KzijL1rFHN0sAB2lcI
- Case numbering is one global running sequence —
[N] = (highest [N] across
the closed-case archive and the working folder) + 1.
A bundled copy of the prep skeleton lives in references/prep-doc-template.md —
it shows the exact format (section dividers, markers, the four extras). Read it
before drafting; fall back to it if the live template can't be read.
Workflow
1 · Acquire the booking + the client's materials
The booking can arrive a few ways — a forwarded appointment email, a calendar
subject line ("職涯、履歷付費諮詢 (Name)"), a Gmail thread, or just a name. Whatever
you're given, gather these by searching Gmail (mcp__google-workspace__search_gmail_messages
then get_gmail_messages_content_batch):
- The appointment booking — gives the client name, email, LinkedIn/résumé
links, the consult item (職涯諮詢 / 履歷健檢 / 模擬面試), the one-line topic, the
date/time (note the timezone — bookings often show CEST/Amsterdam and GMT+8),
the Meet link, and the fee.
- The client's pre-consult reply — their answers to Peter's four standard
questions (current company / title / years; LinkedIn; work history; target
industries-companies-roles) and, most valuably, their own list of questions.
This is the richest source — quote it.
- The CV — usually a PDF attachment. Download it
(
get_gmail_attachment_content) and read it (the Read tool renders PDFs). The
CV is where you mine Reality/Options answers the client didn't spell out.
If the client hasn't sent materials yet, say so and offer to draft the prep from
the booking alone (background will be thin) — don't invent a background.
Note on the Calendar API: the Calendar MCP may be disabled on the GCP
project. That's fine — the booking details all live in the Gmail thread, which
is the source of truth here. Don't block on Calendar.
2 · Read the GROW question set
Read the Career development tab of the template Doc
(get_doc_content(document_id="1FLERQy5pAVly0s9T9nmTVmt0wT-t1GheGdMV8vQBYIk"))
so the questions stay in sync with whatever Peter has edited. The GROW sections
are: 找到標竿 (Goal) · 盤點現狀 (Reality) · 找到選擇 (Options) · 判斷時間和行動
(Will) · 故事 (Story) · 總結 (Summary) + an Options scoring matrix.
references/prep-doc-template.md carries the full question list and is the
fallback if the live read fails.
3 · Prefill the GROW questions
This is the core of the value. For each question, write the client's answer
from their own materials:
- Quote what they answered. Their email maps cleanly: target industries /
companies / roles → Goal; current role + history → Reality; their listed
questions → wherever they belong.
- Infer the rest from the CV, and mark every inferred line
〔推測,需確認〕.
The marker is what makes the doc trustworthy — Peter instantly sees what's
grounded versus what to confirm. Where neither email nor CV says anything,
write 未提供,現場確認 rather than guessing.
- Leave Summary and the scoring matrix blank — those are filled live / after.
Why prefill at all (rather than hand Peter a blank intake): the client already
answered most of this in their email. Re-typing it into the framework is exactly
the "consultant reads the file beforehand" work that makes a paid hour feel
worth it — and it surfaces the gaps and contradictions while there's still time
to plan around them.
4 · Add the four prep extras
These turn an intake into a briefing. See the template for placement.
- ⚠️ 開場必確認 (opener checklist) — the 1–3 facts that swing every other
answer, to confirm in the first five minutes. For an overseas move this is
almost always work authorization / visa status (EU rights? partner visa?
30% ruling? needs sponsorship?) — positioning advice flips entirely on it.
Also flag material inconsistencies (e.g. "7 years" in the email vs "10+"
on the CV) so Peter can reconcile the client's pitch.
- Client questions regrouped under GROW — list their own questions verbatim
with their numbers, clustered (定位/品牌 · 市場適配 · 履歷/補強 · 路徑/策略).
Peter can then run the session by theme instead of ping-ponging.
- CV health-check (consultant-side) — 5–8 concrete, kindly-phrased notes:
header vs content honesty, density, repeated metrics, localization, the
years-of-experience inconsistency, the clearest skill gap. Only expand this
when the consult item includes 履歷健檢 or the client asked about their CV.
- Suggested 60-minute agenda — a time-boxed flow that front-loads the
highest-value block (usually positioning).
5 · Number the case
[N] is one global running sequence. List both folders once and take the max
[N] across them, then +1:
mcp__google-workspace__list_drive_items(user_google_email="peter_tu@zynkr.ai", folder_id="11m4Ysbq7huzA6suva7UoLHmmDVOwtaW6") # closed-case archive
mcp__google-workspace__list_drive_items(user_google_email="peter_tu@zynkr.ai", folder_id="1tkcJeV8silMmCZgNoOz0-SYXsEIQX2Sd") # working folder (in-flight cases)
Doc name: [N] {Client} 職涯諮詢 (e.g. [80] Mei Lin 職涯諮詢). If the client
goes by an English + Chinese name, use the form they signed with.
6 · Create the Doc and file it
Create with the filled body, then move it into the working folder (creating a Doc
directly into a folder is unreliable; create-then-move is the robust path):
## 1. create (lands in My Drive root)
mcp__google-workspace__create_doc(user_google_email="peter_tu@zynkr.ai", title="[N] {Client} 職涯諮詢", content="<filled template>")
## 2. move into the 職涯諮詢 folder (capture the doc id from step 1)
mcp__google-workspace__update_drive_file(user_google_email="peter_tu@zynkr.ai", file_id="<doc id>", add_parents="1tkcJeV8silMmCZgNoOz0-SYXsEIQX2Sd", remove_parents="root")
7 · Report (and offer the optional log)
Show Peter a compact summary: the case name + link, what was prefilled vs what's
flagged 〔推測,需確認〕, and the opener checklist (so the single most important
thing — e.g. "confirm visa first" — is visible without opening the doc).
The 職涯諮詢追蹤總表 row is optional and off by default — it's a state change,
so ask before appending. If Peter says yes, append a row
(客戶姓名 · 諮詢日期 · 諮詢時間 · Email · 背景來源) via the Sheets tools.
Worked example (illustrative — fictional client)
Booking: "職涯、履歷付費諮詢 (Mei Lin)", a Taiwan-based product manager at a
fictional firm, exploring roles in Germany, CV attached, email lists 9
questions. Contact: inquirer@example.com.
A good prep Doc for Mei Lin would:
- Put her target German tech/auto companies + PM roles under Goal, her current
PM scope + shipped-feature metrics under Reality (quoting the CV), and her 9
questions regrouped under the GROW themes.
- Open the checklist with "confirm German work authorization / Blue Card
eligibility" — because whether she needs sponsorship reshapes every
competitiveness answer — plus any email-vs-CV seniority mismatch.
- Mark anything not in her materials
〔推測,需確認〕 (e.g. salary expectations,
role models) rather than inventing them.
- Add a CV health-check only because her item includes 履歷健檢, and close with a
60-minute agenda that front-loads positioning.
The point of the example: prefill from real material, flag every inference,
and lead with the one fact that changes the advice.
A note on PII
The prep Doc contains the real client's name, email and CV — that's correct;
it's Peter's private working doc in his own Drive, the same data he'd read off
the email. No anonymization happens at runtime. (Only this skill's own
documentation uses a fictional client.)
