How This Skill Works

This skill has three operational modes. Determine which mode to enter based on the human's request, then load the corresponding reference file.

The framework organizes collaboration through seven components in three layers:

Foundation Layer (stable, established early):

Project Foundations — scope, vocabulary, assumptions, methods, quality standards
Collaborator Profile — human expertise, working style, communication preferences
Engagement Guidelines — collaboration patterns, session structure, working methods

Dynamic Layer (evolves throughout the project):

Living Questions — knowledge state, open investigations, evolving understanding
Project Plan — work organization, timelines, progress tracking

Operational Layer (used every session):

Session Template — session structure, context transfer, progress documentation
Working Files — project artifacts and their organization

Mode Details

Setup Mode

Guide the human through creating each framework component. Load references/setup.md for the full setup workflow.

Key points:

Recommended order: Project Foundations → Collaborator Profile → remaining components.
Use conversational exploration to gather information, then populate templates from assets/templates/.
Each component can span multiple sessions. Track progress between sessions.
Validate every populated template with the human before finalizing.

Session Mode

Run a structured collaboration session within an existing framework. Load references/sessions.md for the full session workflow.

Key points:

Always start by restoring context from the continuity record or session documents.
Confirm session objectives before beginning work.
Track progress, decisions, and emerging insights throughout the session.
Close with a documented handoff that enables any future session to resume.

Maintenance Mode

Review and evolve existing framework components. Load references/maintenance.md for the full maintenance workflow.

Key points:

All components share a common review cadence (per-session, weekly, monthly).
Changes in one component may require updates in others — check the dependency map.
Always confirm changes with the human before committing.
Track what changed, why, and what it affects.
