The exact terms and eligibility are set largely by the active-period relief framework and reservist-protection legislation:
- Right to defer monthly payments without late fees during active reserve duty

- The bank cannot demand penalty interest or accelerate the loan due to the deferral
- Spouse / co-borrower may invoke the same protections when the reservist is the primary earner

Gotchas
- Israeli mortgages (mashkantaot) must contain at least two tracks (maslulim) by Bank of Israel regulation. Agents may suggest a single-track mortgage, which is not allowed.
