eductio

The Scholastic eduction/induction diagnostic (eductio e potentia materiae) as a general lens for any question of the form 'did X arise from within Y's capacity, or was it imposed from beyond it?' Distinguishes eduction (form actualized from the patient's subjective potency — fire from wood) from induction (form imposed from outside — the builder ordering a house), then deploys the three potencies (subjective, obediential, objective), the causal adequacy principle and its two exits (inflate the cause vs. inflate the patient), the artifact trap, and the Leibniz amortization. Use for emergence debates (life, consciousness, AI capabilities), pedagogy (is teaching eduction or induction?), creativity, hermeneutics, therapy, organizational change. Triggers on: 'eductio', 'educed or inducted', 'emergence', 'can the more come from the less', 'potentia obedientialis', 'obediential potency', 'where did this capacity come from', 'was it latent or imposed'.
