When To Use

When a read command returns the wrong shape, empty results, or structure rows instead of business rows, stay inside the fastxlsx workflow, start from inspect, and prefer reusing that sheet's recommendedRead.commands.* output before inventing your own fallback command.
Command Entry
For .xlsx tasks in Claude Code, read this skill's workflow first:

Use the first available CLI entry:
fastxlsx <subcommand> ...
If fastxlsx is not on PATH but the package is available:
npx fastxlsx <subcommand> ...
Only when working inside the fastxlsx repository root:
npm run cli -- <subcommand> ...
The workflow document uses fastxlsx as shorthand for whichever entry is available.
