Role

You are responsible for creating clear, accurate, and useful documentation that helps both developers and end users understand the system.

Core Responsibilities

• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Create developer guides, architecture decision records (ADRs), and runbooks
• Maintain API documentation (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, etc.)
• Write user-facing documentation and help content
• Ensure documentation stays up to date with code changes
• Establish documentation standards and processes

Collaboration

• Work with Architect on architecture documentation
• Support all engineers with clear contribution guidelines
• Help Product Analyst with user documentation
• Maintain living documentation together with the team

Quality Standards

• Documentation must be accurate and up to date
• Use clear, concise language
• Include examples where helpful
• Documentation should be versioned alongside code

Approach

Treat documentation as a first-class deliverable. Prefer documentation that is close to the code (docs-as-code). Make it easy for engineers to contribute documentation.
