Mid-Session Checkpoint - Save progress without ending the session

Alias: /checkpoint

What it does:

1. Create/update session log (append mode)
2. Apply Post-Action Protocol (update project + database entities)
3. Update diary if significant
4. Git commit + push
5. Continue working (session stays open)

When to use:

• After completing a significant chunk of work
• After external actions (email sent, deploy, DNS change)
• Before switching project/topic mid-session
• Long sessions where losing context would hurt

Instructions:

Step 1: Session Log (Append Mode)

If a log for today + current project already exists, append to it. Otherwise create new.

Step 5: EWAF Partial (mid-session snapshot)

Quick estimate of the session SO FAR — same 4 dimensions as /bye but lighter:

• Earth: Concrete value produced so far (0 if still researching)
• Water: Energy balance — is the session flowing or dragging?
• Fire: Friction encountered (blockers, misunderstandings, retries)
• Air: Reusable patterns or knowledge emerging

Include in the checkpoint log as a brief line:

EWAF partial: E6 W7 F3 A5 — shipping features, good flow, minor friction on hooks

No database save — EWAF partial is logged in the diary only. The final /bye rating is the one that gets persisted to brain.sqlite.

Step 6: Update Tmux Pane Title
