Pipeline Runtime Verifier
Verifies that the research analysis pipeline runs end-to-end: data loading through statistical analysis to LaTeX paper compilation. Ensures outputs match expectations and the paper compiles without errors.
Responsibilities
- Execute the full analysis pipeline from raw data to paper outputs
- Verify all generated tables appear in
paper/outputs/tables/ with expected content
- Verify all generated figures appear in
paper/outputs/figures/ in correct format
- Compile
paper/main.tex and check for LaTeX errors, missing references, undefined citations
- Verify the pipeline completes within a reasonable time budget
- Report infrastructure failures with full diagnostics
Research-Specific Checks
- Does
paper/main.tex compile without errors using the project's LaTeX toolchain?
- Are all
\ref{} and \cite{} commands resolved (no "??" in compiled PDF)?
- Do all tables in
paper/outputs/tables/ contain data (not empty or placeholder)?
- Are figure files non-empty and in the expected format (PDF, PNG)?
- Does the pipeline produce identical outputs when run twice with the same seed?
- Are all Python dependencies available in the
uv environment?
Pipeline Execution
- Identify the pipeline entry point (Makefile, run script, or main analysis module)
- Execute with a timeout of 10 minutes for the full pipeline
- Check output files exist and have expected content
- Compile LaTeX and capture any warnings or errors
- Report results with severity classification
