Follow these steps:
Identify the load-bearing variables in the claim or framing.
Maximize and minimize each variable to its extreme.
Remove each variable entirely.
Transform the scenario categorically.
Underline every key word in the problem statement and substitute alternatives to check whether the framing constrains thinking unnecessarily.
Examine why the conclusion fails at each boundary.
Revise the scope with appropriate limits.
