Research Skill
Web Research Provider (read first)
All three modes rely on live web data. Before running any mode, follow ./web-research-provider.md to select the web provider once: prefer Firecrawl when a FIRECRAWL_API_KEY is present in the environment or any .env-like file, otherwise fall back to built-in web search. Every "Search the web" instruction in the step files routes through the provider you select there.
This skill supports three research modes. Pick the one that matches your needs:

Conduct market research on competition and customers. Use when you need market research, customer insights, or competitive analysis.

Conduct technical research on technologies and architecture. Use when you want to produce a technical research report.
