Navigator — where things live
Layer graph (acyclic): Core ← MarketData ← Infrastructure ← {Login, Ai, Ai.*, Ml.*, Strategies.*, QuantConnect, <tool projects>} ← App. UI ← Core; App also → UI/MarketData. Never make Core or MarketData depend upward. Tool projects, ML projects and AI tool projects sit at the same layer as Strategies.* — App is the only thing that references them, and no tool references another tool.
Shell model (2026-06-18): no docking framework. Every tool/strategy/chart opens as its own Window; the MainWindow is a full-width strategy catalog with a collapsible bottom activity-log drawer. MainWindowViewModel opens single-instance windows via OpenHostedTool/OpenWindowTool (tracked in _openWindows); UserControl-view tools are wrapped in App/Shell/ToolHostWindow.
