Author Writing Style

This file is a placeholder. It is meant to capture your personal aesthetic so Claude can calibrate editing feedback to your voice rather than generic standards.

Fill it in yourself, or ask Claude to build it for you: share a few pieces of your published or finished writing and say "Build my writing-style skill from these." Claude will read the work and extract patterns — sentence rhythm, narrative distance, how you handle interiority, what your prose does that is distinctly yours.

The more specific this file is, the more useful /dev-edit and /language-edit become. Vague preferences ("I like short sentences") produce vague feedback. Specific patterns ("I use single-sentence paragraphs as ironic payoffs, not as emphasis — never suggest expanding them") produce precise, calibrated feedback.
