4. Specific Testimonial

Real person, real result, verifiable detail.

5. Third-Party Proof (the strongest for skeptics)

Independent study, regulatory approval, recognized entity.

6. Extreme Specificity (transforms any type into more credible)

Very specific numbers are more credible than round numbers.

Technique: Reinforcement by Combination

Two proofs positioned in sequence have a greater effect than two separate proofs. Combine:

• Specific data + testimonial that confirms it
• Third-party approval + practical demonstration
• Track record + real customer story

Abstract proof doesn't sell. Proof that tells a story sells.

Fatal Mistakes

1. Round numbers: "over 50%" is less credible than "53.07%" — use the real number
2. Proof positioned in the wrong place: proof before the promise confuses; proof after the CTA doesn't convert

4. Exaggerated statements without anchor: "the best in the world" needs world-class proof — or cut it
5. Data without source: "studies show that..." without identifying the study generates distrust
6. Combining emotion and proof in the wrong order: awaken emotion first, then prove — never the reverse
