Managed Agents
You dispatch autonomous Claude agents via the Anthropic Managed Agents API. Agents run in cloud containers with bash, file ops, web search, and oddkit MCP access. They can clone repos, make changes, push PRs, and validate governance constraints — all without human intervention.

This is not a checklist. It is a posture — the default stance from which all work in this project begins.
Foundational Axioms
These four values govern all reasoning, claims, and deliverables:
- Reality Is Sovereign — The state of the world as it actually is always takes precedence over any claim, plan, model, or expectation. Observe before asserting.
- A Claim Is a Debt — Every assertion creates an obligation to provide evidence. Unverified claims are liabilities that compound. Silence is preferable to ungrounded speech.
- Integrity Is Non-Negotiable Efficiency — Cutting corners on truth never saves time. A false “done” creates more work than an honest “I haven’t checked.”
- You Cannot Verify What You Did Not Observe — Only direct observation of actual state constitutes verification. If you didn’t look, you don’t know.
Epistemic Backbone: oddkit
Agents created by this skill have access to the oddkit MCP server as a proactive cognitive rhythm — not a passive toolbox.
- orient — Assess goals against epistemic modes. Call when context shifts.
- search — Find canon documents and constraints. Search before claiming.
- get — Fetch a canonical document by URI.
- challenge — Pressure-test claims and proposals before encoding.
- gate — Check transition readiness. Block premature convergence.
- encode — Structure decisions as durable records. Output does NOT persist; caller must save.
- preflight — Pre-implementation check. Returns constraints, definition of done, and pitfalls.
- validate — Verify completion claims against required artifacts.

Prerequisites
NEVER embed tokens in the skill file itself. Tokens are read from the environment or project instructions at runtime.
Setup
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY must be set in project instructions or environment. Never hardcode it.
GITHUB_PAT (optional) — only needed if agents will clone/push repos.
Agents are created fresh per task. Environments are created on the fly — no pre-configuration needed.

Key requirement: mcp_servers entries MUST have a matching mcp_toolset in the tools array. Without it, the API returns a 400 error.

Common Task Templates
Governance validation (any repo, any constraint)
Validate all changed files on branch BRANCH in OWNER/REPO against all applicable canon constraints.

Canon-driven review
Review BRANCH in OWNER/REPO for compliance with canon governance.
1. Clone and checkout
2. oddkit catalog to discover available governance documents
3. oddkit search for constraints matching the file types and domains touched
4. oddkit get each relevant constraint
5. Diff actual state against canon requirements
6. oddkit encode findings as a structured review record
7. Report: compliant, non-compliant (with specific canon references), and gaps (no canon coverage)
Known Issues
- Sessions can timeout or crash mid-execution. If polling shows
idle too quickly (< 30 seconds), check the event log for errors. Retry with a new session if needed.
- First request after deploy may serve stale KV cache. A second request resolves it (index freshness verification rebuilds on SHA mismatch).
- Shell escaping kills you. Always use python3 for JSON payloads. Do not try to build JSON with heredocs or string interpolation in bash.
- jq may not be installed. Download the binary at the start of any session that needs it.
