• IedModel is NOT a ModelNode
• LogicalDevice/LogicalNode expose GetChildren()
• Get logical devices via GetDeviceByInst()
• Register control handlers via GetModelNodeByShortObjectReference()
• Dot notation only — never MMS-style ($MX$, $ST$)
• Never assume parity with the C API
