Influencer Hero Platform Help
Helps the user configure and use Influencer Hero — an all-in-one influencer marketing platform covering creator discovery, automated outreach, CRM, affiliate tracking, product gifting, UGC content capture, reporting, and creator storefronts.
Step 1 — Gather context
If references/learnings.md exists, read it first for accumulated knowledge.
Ask the user:
-
What do you need help with?
- A) Finding and discovering influencers
- B) Setting up outreach campaigns (email, DMs)
- C) Managing influencer relationships (CRM, deal pages)
- D) Affiliate tracking and discount codes
- E) Product gifting workflow
- F) UGC/content capture and library
- G) Reporting and analytics
- H) Integrations (Shopify, Klaviyo, Zapier, etc.)
- I) API or webhooks
- J) Something else — describe it
-
What plan are you on?
- A) Standard ($649/mo — 1 seat, 1K outreach/mo)
- B) Pro ($1,049/mo — 3 seats, 5K outreach/mo)
- C) Business ($2,490/mo — 8 seats, 10K outreach/mo)
- D) Custom / Agency (custom price — unlimited seats & outreach)
- E) Free trial / evaluating
-
What's your ecommerce platform?
- A) Shopify
- B) WooCommerce
- C) Magento
- D) BigCommerce
- E) Amazon
- F) None / other
If the user's request already provides most of this context, skip directly to the relevant step. Lead with your best-effort answer using reasonable assumptions (stated explicitly), then ask only the most critical 1-2 clarifying questions at the end.
Step 2 — Route or answer directly
If the request maps to a different skill, route:
- General influencer marketing strategy →
/sales-influencer-marketing
- Affiliate program design (not Influencer Hero-specific) →
/sales-affiliate-program
- Other influencer platforms → hand off to specific platform skill
- Email deliverability for outreach →
/sales-deliverability
Otherwise, answer directly from the platform reference below.
Step 3 — Influencer Hero platform reference
Read references/platform-guide.md for the full reference — the core-module table, pricing and
plan-gated features (Standard/Pro/Business/Custom, the 3-month minimum, seat and outreach caps), the 45+
integrations, the key workflows (discovery, outreach campaign setup, affiliate/discount-code tracking,
Shopify gifting), and the data model / terminology (Deal Page, Outreach Board, EMV, Code Leakage). Read
references/influencer-hero-api-reference.md for API detail. Answer using only the relevant section —
don't dump the full reference.
Step 4 — Actionable guidance
Based on the user's specific question, provide:
- Setup walkthrough — step-by-step configuration for the relevant module
- Best practices — optimize campaign performance based on platform capabilities
- Integration setup — connect Shopify, Klaviyo, or other tools
- Reporting guidance — which metrics to track and how to interpret them
- API/webhook guidance — programmatic access patterns
Gotchas
Best-effort from research — review these, especially items about plan-gated features and integration gotchas that may be outdated.
-
Search filters can be inconsistent. Users report that discovery filters sometimes don't apply correctly to results. If results look wrong, try narrowing your search with more specific filters or using the AI search with natural language instead of filter combinations.
-
Email accounts disconnect silently. Gmail/Outlook connections can lose authentication without notification. Check your connected accounts regularly — reconnect if outreach stops sending. The platform doesn't always alert you when a connection drops.
-
Follow-up emails may start new threads. Some users report follow-ups being sent as new email threads instead of replies to the original message. This makes tracking harder for both you and the influencer. Test your follow-up sequence with a test email address before launching.
-
Pricing is per brand. If you manage multiple brands (agency model), each brand requires a separate subscription. This adds up quickly — evaluate the Business plan or contact sales for agency pricing.
-
No creator-side portal. Unlike marketplace platforms (Afluencer, Collabstr), Influencer Hero doesn't have a portal where creators can sign up and browse brand opportunities. All outreach is brand-initiated. Onboarding a single known creator requires adding them manually or creating a campaign for them.
-
Reporting/analytics is Pro+; UGC tracking scales by tier. The live pricing page shows UGC tracking on every plan but with rising caps — Standard tracks 200 influencers, Pro 500, Business 1,500 (auto-captures stories, reels, and feed posts). Reporting/analytics dashboards ("access aggregated campaign data" — funnel, aggregated sales, clicks, EMV) require Pro ($1,049/mo) or higher and are NOT on Standard.
-
Steep learning curve for small teams. The platform is feature-rich, which means new users often feel overwhelmed. Start with one module (usually discovery + outreach), get comfortable, then expand to CRM, affiliate, and gifting.
-
14-day free trial may not be enough. Given the learning curve, a free trial is tight to evaluate all modules. Focus on the 1-2 features most critical to your decision. (Note: all plans carry a 3-month minimum commitment, so factor that into the buying decision.)
-
API is plan-gated and rate-limited. The REST API lives at https://api.influencer-hero.com (all paths prefixed /v1/), authenticated with an X-API-KEY header. API/custom integrations are gated to the Business plan (Pro may have access at lower limits). Rate limits are 4 req/sec (240/min) on Pro and 8 req/sec (480/min) on Business, universal across endpoints with no burst — design batch jobs accordingly. Find your key and webhook signing secret at .

Troubleshooting
Discovery filters returning irrelevant results
Symptom: Applied audience demographics and niche filters but results don't match criteria
Cause: Filter logic can be inconsistent, especially with multiple filters combined
Solution: Try fewer filters at once — start broad (platform + follower range) and narrow incrementally. Use the AI natural language search instead of filter combinations for better results. Alternatively, use the Chrome extension to find creators while browsing social media and save them directly.
Outreach emails not being sent
Symptom: Campaign is active but emails aren't going out
Cause: Email account disconnected (Gmail/Outlook OAuth token expired) or monthly outreach limit reached
Solution: Check Settings → Connected Accounts to verify your email is still authenticated. Reconnect if needed. Check your plan's monthly outreach limit (Standard: 1K, Pro: 5K, Business: 10K) — if you've hit the limit, you'll need to wait for the next billing cycle or upgrade.
Influencer posts not appearing in UGC library
Symptom: Influencers have posted about your brand but content isn't captured
Cause: You may have hit your plan's UGC tracking cap (Standard tracks 200 influencers, Pro 500, Business 1,500). Auto-capture also depends on those influencers being tracked and on correct hashtag/mention configuration.
Solution: Check whether you're at your plan's tracked-influencer cap and upgrade or free up slots if so. Verify the influencer is added to UGC tracking and that hashtags/@mentions are configured. The system auto-captures stories, reels, and feed posts, but capture may take time to detect new posts, and Instagram Stories must be captured within the 24-hour story window. (Note: reporting/analytics dashboards over this captured data are Pro+ only.)
