SkyyRose Social — Social Media Graphics
When to Use This Skill
- Briefing a designer or generating graphics specs for a SkyyRose drop announcement, campaign launch, or collection tease
- Producing a coordinated visual set across 2-6 platforms from one creative brief
- Creating quote graphics, event posts, or content teasers with correct SkyyRose brand direction
- Defining canvas dimensions, color tokens, typography rules, and layout constraints for a graphic set
- Specifying how graphics feed into the Elite Studio social pipeline and posting workflow
DO NOT use this for:
- Photography direction (use
skyyrose-social-brand-photography-brief or skyyrose-social-product-photography-brief)
- Video scripts or Reel sequences (use
skyyrose-social-tiktok-script or the short-form video skill)
- Full logo or brand identity work — SkyyRose's lockup assets are fixed, not designed here
Brand Canon (non-negotiable)
- The Five visual references — only these: Kith (editorial product storytelling, elevated retail polish), Oaklandish (Oakland pride, town authenticity, community rootedness), Culture Kings (hype energy, bold streetwear merchandising), Fear of God (quiet luxury, tonal restraint, negative space discipline), Palm Angels (street-luxe graphic confidence). Never Bottega Veneta, Hedi Slimane, Rick Owens, 032c, Acne, Givenchy-by-Tisci, or any European luxury-house graphic lineage — wrong brand DNA.
- Lockup images, never live type: Collection names in any hero or title position are brand-script lockup assets —
assets/images/hero-overlays/ for Black Rose, Love Hurts, and Signature; assets/images/logos/ for Kids Capsule. These are placed as image assets, never typed with Cinzel, Archivo, or any other font. Fonts apply only to body copy, captions, slide text, CTAs, and graphic subtext.
- Color tokens — use exactly: Rose Gold
#B76E79 (global brand accent), Dark #0A0A0A (background default), Silver #C0C0C0 (Black Rose accent), Crimson #DC143C (Love Hurts accent), Gold #D4AF37 (Signature accent). No off-brand colors, no approximations.
- Per-collection design register (never cross-attribute): Black Rose = dark, cool-dramatic, silver. Love Hurts = dark, crimson-warm, raw. Signature = warm, gold, West Coast elevated. Kids Capsule = bright, rose gold, playful-premium.
- Tagline (verbatim, only):
Luxury Grows from Concrete. — period included. Never paraphrase.
- One headline, one CTA per graphic. SkyyRose graphics are not bulletpoint ads. Strong visual hierarchy, minimal text — the garment or the lockup carries the frame.

Platform Canvas Specifications
| Platform | Format | Width | Height | Aspect Ratio | Primary Use |
|---|
| Instagram Feed | 4:5 Post | 1080 | 1350 | 4:5 | Feed posts — dominant SkyyRose format |
| Instagram Feed | Square Post | 1080 | 1080 | 1:1 | Carousels, secondary feed posts |
| Instagram Story / Reel Cover | Story | 1080 | 1920 | 9:16 | Stories, Reel cover frames |
| TikTok Cover | Cover | 1080 | 1920 | 9:16 | Pinned TikTok cover (same as Story) |
| Pinterest | Standard Pin | 1000 | 1500 | 2:3 | Product/collection pins |
| X / Twitter | Timeline | 1600 | 900 | 16:9 | Drop announcements, text-image posts |
| Facebook | Feed Post | 1200 | 630 | ~1.91:1 | If used — same as X wide crop |
| Email Header | Header | 1200 | 400 | 3:1 | Email campaign top banner |
| Email Product Card | Card | 600 | 600 | 1:1 | Product card in email body |
Hero-first rule: Design the 4:5 (1080×1350) as the hero canvas. Resize / adapt to other platforms from there — never design each platform variant from scratch.
Safe zone rule for Story/TikTok (9:16): Keep all text and lockup assets within the center 80% of the canvas (86px from each edge). UI chrome (IG handle, TikTok watermark) obscures the top 14% and bottom 20%.
Phase 1: Creative Brief Intake
Gather these before specifying anything. If the user has already provided them, move to Phase 2.
| Input | Question | Notes |
|---|
| Occasion | What is the graphic for? | Drop announcement, collection launch, quote post, UGC repost, sale, event |
| Collection | Which collection? | Sets all design direction: colors, typography weight, mood |
| Key message | What is the primary text on the graphic? | Headline only — one sentence or fragment |
| CTA | What should the viewer do? | "Shop now at skyyrose.co", "Pre-order open", "Link in bio" — keep brief |
| Platforms | Which platforms need graphics? | Default: IG 4:5 + IG Story + Pinterest. Add X, email if needed. |
| Has photography | Is there a product photo or campaign image to use? | If yes, the graphic is photo-forward; if no, the graphic is type-forward |
| Style notes | Any visual preferences for this specific set? | Dark/moody, bright editorial, bold type-only, photo with text overlay |
GATE: Do not proceed without knowing the collection and key message. Collection determines all visual direction.
Phase 2: Per-Collection Design Direction
Apply this direction consistently across all platform variants in the set.
Black Rose — Dark Precision
- Background:
#0A0A0A (full-bleed dark) or dark concrete texture as base. No white, no light surfaces.
- Accent color: Silver
#C0C0C0 — use for headline text, rule lines, or thin graphic accents.
- Typography (body/subtext): Anton for UI labels and caps; Hanken Grotesk for body copy. Cinzel available as an optional engraved-caps accent. Never Playfair Display — cut from brand canon.
- Lockup placement: Black Rose brand-script lockup from
assets/images/hero-overlays/ placed in the upper third or center — always as an image asset, never typed.
- Layout mood: Architectural. Strong grid. Generous negative space. Typography is sparse and weighted. One visual anchor, nothing competing.
- Photo treatment (if photography is included): Desaturate toward cool-neutral. Darken shadows. Silver highlights. Blend mode options: Multiply or Luminosity for text overlay integration.
- AVOID: Warm-toned backgrounds, gold or rose gold accents, rounded typefaces, cluttered compositions.
Love Hurts — Crimson Heat
- Background:
#0A0A0A (dark base) with Crimson #DC143C used as a bold accent — not the background.
- Accent color: Crimson
#DC143C — headline, geometric accent shapes, or a color block behind key text.
- Typography (body/subtext): Anton for strong caps; Hanken Grotesk italic for emotive lines. Cinzel available as an optional engraved-caps accent.
- Lockup placement: Love Hurts brand-script lockup from
assets/images/hero-overlays/ — upper third or full-width horizontal band.
- Layout mood: Tension and rawness. Asymmetric compositions acceptable. Bold type over dark ground. Crimson as punctuation, not wallpaper.
- Photo treatment: High contrast, deep shadows, slight warm push in crimson-adjacent tones.
- AVOID: Soft-glow romantic filters, pink tones, Valentine's Day graphic conventions.
Signature — West Coast Gold
- Background: Warm cream,
#0A0A0A (dark with gold accents), or warm-toned gradient (dark-to-rich-brown).
- Accent color: Gold
#D4AF37 — headline, rule lines, badge outlines, subtle graphic accents.
- Typography (body/subtext): Archivo for display copy; Hanken Grotesk for body; Anton for labels. Elevated and refined.
- Lockup placement: Signature brand-script lockup from
assets/images/hero-overlays/ — wide horizontal, centered or left-anchored.
- Layout mood: Elevated, worldwide. Editorial confidence. More white space than Black Rose. Photography carries the frame; text is secondary.
- Photo treatment: Warm-golden grade. Lifted shadows. Sun-flare effects acceptable if not stock-looking.
- AVOID: Cool blues, silver or crimson accents, industrial textures, hype-shouting layouts.
Kids Capsule — Bright Royalty
- Background: Warm white or cream — never
#0A0A0A. Light backgrounds only.
- Accent color: Rose Gold
#B76E79 — headline, graphic accents, rule lines.
- Typography (body/subtext): Archivo (warm, approachable); Hanken Grotesk for body. Never Bebas Neue — too hard.
- Lockup placement: Kids Capsule logo from
assets/images/logos/ — sized appropriately for small faces around it.
- Layout mood: Clean, warm, premium but approachable. Playful without being childish. Heritage feeling.
- Photo treatment: Bright, even, natural. No dramatic shadow treatments.
- AVOID: Dark backgrounds, dramatic contrast, hype-energy layout conventions from Black Rose or Love Hurts.
Phase 3: Layout Rules (All Collections)
These rules apply regardless of collection:
- One headline, maximum. The graphic communicates one thing. If there are two ideas, there are two graphics.
- One CTA, minimum. Every graphic that asks for action must have a CTA. Every graphic that doesn't ask for action is brand/awareness — treat it as such (no hollow "Shop Now" on a pure brand awareness post).
- Typography hierarchy is 3 levels max: Lockup image (largest visual element) → Headline text → CTA/body subtext. No fourth tier.
- Safe margin: 5% inset from all edges for text and graphic elements on every format. For Story/TikTok 9:16, use 10% inset + additional 20% top/bottom safe zone for UI.
- No gradient abuse. If a gradient is used, it must be purposeful and match the collection's temperature (cool for Black Rose/Love Hurts, warm for Signature, neutral-warm for Kids).
- File naming convention:
{collection-slug}-{occasion-slug}-{platform}-{dimensions}.png
- Examples:
black-rose-drop-announce-ig-4x5-1080x1350.png, signature-launch-pinterest-1000x1500.png
- All lowercase, hyphens only, no spaces.
Phase 4: Coordinated Set Build
Always start with the hero canvas (IG 4:5, 1080×1350). Adapt — don't rebuild.
| Step | Action |
|---|
| 1 | Design hero at 1080×1350. Lock in: background, lockup placement, headline position, CTA position. |
| 2 | Adapt to IG Square (1080×1080): crop the hero. Reflow if headline is cut. |
| 3 | Adapt to Story/TikTok (1080×1920): extend the canvas vertically. Reposition CTA into lower third. Lockup in upper third. Check safe zones. |
| 4 | Adapt to Pinterest (1000×1500): resize from hero. Verify headline is in upper third, CTA in lower third. |
| 5 | Adapt to X (1600×900): wide crop or horizontal layout. Ensure text is not cut. CTA must be visible. |
| 6 | Adapt to email header (1200×400) if needed: ultra-wide; minimal text, lockup left-aligned, CTA right-side. |
If a resize crops the lockup or headline: Design that platform natively using the same brief, not by forcing a bad crop.

Example
Request: "Graphics set for a Black Rose collection drop. Headline: 'The drop is here.' CTA: 'Pre-order now at skyyrose.co.' Need IG 4:5, IG Story, Pinterest, and X. No photography — type-forward dark graphic."
SkyyRose Social Graphics Brief — Black Rose Drop Announcement
Collection: Black Rose
Occasion: Collection drop announcement
Key message: "The drop is here."
CTA: "Pre-order now at skyyrose.co"
Platforms: IG 4:5, IG Story/TikTok Cover, Pinterest, X/Twitter
Style: Type-forward, no photography. Dark graphic, silver accents.
Design Direction — Black Rose Type-Forward
Background: Full-bleed #0A0A0A on all canvases. No surface texture for this set — pure flat dark.
Accent: Silver #C0C0C0 for headline "The drop is here." and thin rule line above CTA.
Lockup: Black Rose brand-script lockup from assets/images/hero-overlays/ — placed in upper third of each canvas, centered horizontally. This is an image asset — NOT typed text.
Headline: "The drop is here." — Anton, large, Silver #C0C0C0, centered below the lockup. Maximum 3 words per line.
CTA: "Pre-order now at skyyrose.co" — Hanken Grotesk, smaller weight, white #FFFFFF or Silver #C0C0C0, bottom third of each canvas.
Rule line: 1px Silver horizontal rule separating headline from CTA block.
AVOID: Any warm tones, rounded fonts, Gold or Rose Gold accents, drop shadows that soften the edges, decorative elements that dilute the spare precision.
Reference aesthetic: Fear of God's tonal restraint in type-heavy lookbook layouts + Palm Angels's graphic street-luxe confidence — applied to SkyyRose's Black Rose register.

Elite Studio Pipeline Notes
Completed graphics are delivered to skyyrose/elite_studio for scheduling and posting via the social pipeline. Naming convention above is required for pipeline compatibility.
The Black Rose brand-script lockup (assets/images/hero-overlays/) must be sourced at full resolution and placed as a layer — not rasterized or type-set anew. If the lockup file path has changed, resolve against assets/images/hero-overlays/ before designing.
Pre-Delivery Quality Checklist
Run before delivering any graphic set. Do not skip.
| Check | What to Verify |
|---|
| Collection colors match | Hex values match the color tokens exactly — no approximations |
| Lockup is an image, not text | "Black Rose" (or any collection name) is the placed lockup asset — never typed |
| Headline readable at mobile | Text legible when canvas is viewed at 375px wide on a phone screen |
| CTA visible and unobscured | CTA text is not cropped, overlapped by UI chrome, or lost in background |
| Safe zones respected | For Story/TikTok: all elements within center 80%, text clear of top 14% and bottom 20% |
| No cross-collection color bleed | Black Rose set has no Gold or Rose Gold; Signature set has no Crimson or Silver |
| No European luxury-house aesthetic | Layout, mood, and references align with the Five — not Bottega, Rick Owens, etc. |
| File naming applied | Every file follows the naming convention before export |
| PNG exported | Default export format is PNG, not JPEG — unless file size is a hard constraint |
| One headline, one CTA | No graphic in the set has more than one headline or more than one CTA |
Anti-Patterns
- Never type-render the collection name. The Black Rose / Love Hurts / Signature / Kids Capsule name in a hero or title position is always the brand-script lockup image from
assets/images/hero-overlays/ or assets/images/logos/. Typing it with Cinzel or any other font produces a graphic that contradicts the visual identity asset. This is not a style preference — it is a canon rule.
- Never pull European luxury-house graphic aesthetics. No Bottega's tonal blurred product grids, no Hedi Slimane's sterile editorial silence, no 032c's conceptual cold-type. The Five visual references are Kith, Oaklandish, Culture Kings, Fear of God, Palm Angels — and they are the only vocabulary.
- Never cross-apply collection accents. Gold on a Black Rose graphic is wrong. Crimson on a Signature graphic is wrong. Rose Gold on a Love Hurts graphic is wrong. Collection identity is carried by the accent token — mixing it is a brand identity failure.
- Never design each platform variant from scratch. Hero first, adapt second. Building a Love Hurts Story from scratch while a Love Hurts IG 4:5 already exists creates visual inconsistency and wastes time.
- Never use more than one headline per graphic. If there are two headlines, there are two graphics. Social graphics communicate one thing.
- Never paraphrase the tagline.
Luxury Grows from Concrete. — verbatim, period included. Not "luxury from the streets," not "grown from concrete," not "luxury starts at street level."
- Never export as JPEG as the default. PNG is the default for social graphics — lossless, preserves any transparency in the lockup asset. JPEG only when file size is a hard constraint confirmed by the user.
- Never skip the safe-zone check on Story and TikTok formats. The top 14% and bottom 20% of a 9:16 canvas are obscured by platform UI. A CTA or lockup buried there is invisible at posting time.
- Never use more than 3 props or visual elements per graphic. SkyyRose graphics are not busy. One anchor (lockup or photo), one headline, one CTA. Everything else is noise.
- Never use rounded or playful typefaces on Black Rose or Love Hurts graphics. Anton and Hanken Grotesk are the permitted UI/body voices. Introducing a rounded or display sans undermines the collection register.
Recovery
- Designer or tool produces warm tones on a Black Rose or Love Hurts set: Return the brief with the hex values underlined —
#0A0A0A and #C0C0C0 only, no approximation. Include a reference frame from Fear of God or Palm Angels for visual anchoring. Do not accept a revision that introduces any warm-toned element into a Black Rose graphic.
- Lockup resolution is too low for the canvas size: Source the lockup at full resolution from
assets/images/hero-overlays/ — do not scale up a small version. If the hero-overlay asset is missing for a collection, escalate to the brand pipeline before proceeding.
- Platform resize crops the headline or lockup: Do not deliver a cropped variant. Design that platform natively using the same brief direction. A bad crop is not an adaptation — it is a new design problem.
- User requests a platform not in the specs table: Ask for exact pixel dimensions. Apply the hero-first/adapt-second workflow. Common unlisted formats: YouTube Community Post (1080×1080), Email product card (600×600 — same as IG square), TikTok pinned video cover (1080×1920 — same as Story).
- Graphic set looks inconsistent across platforms: Check that all variants used the same background hex, the same lockup asset, and the same headline font. The three most common consistency breaks are: (1) background color shifted during export compression — use PNG; (2) lockup was re-typed instead of placed as an image; (3) a different designer adapted a variant without the brief.
- User wants to add a second headline or additional body text: Hold the line. Redirect: "Strong social graphics communicate one thing. If there are two messages, there should be two graphics. Which one is the primary?" Then build the correct single-message graphic.
