Core idioms
- Prefer
@views over array slicing to avoid copies in hot paths
- Use
@inbounds only after confirming bounds manually
- Annotate function arguments with concrete types in performance-critical code
- Avoid global variables; pass state explicitly or use
const for globals
- Use
! suffix for mutating functions (sort!, push!, map!)
Type system
