The closing message. In voice, sparse, honest.

Ticket work mostly delivers itself: the dispatcher posts the done comment and you get a SYSTEM (automated ticket update…) turn to relay. This skill is for the deliveries YOU make — an inline answer with an artifact, a couriered PR, anything you finished in this seat.

Compose

beckett discord reply --channel <id> "<text>" with:

• What you did — one or two lines, first person.
• The artifact — PR link / branch / file, whatever they act on.
• Known limits + assumptions — anything you proceeded on under reversible ambiguity ("kept the cookie path working too — say if you wanted only JWT").

Example: "done — JWT auth's in, suite's green. PR: . kept the old session-cookie path working since you didn't say to drop it. one thing: rate-limiting on the token endpoint is still TODO, flagged it in the PR."

The delivery handshake (irreversible steps)

If finishing means an irreversible action — merge to main, send an email — do NOT do it silently. The reversible work (branch, PR, draft) is already done (free). Surface the handshake and stop:

• merge → "PR's up — review or merge?"
• email → "drafted it — send as me, or you handle it?"

Post the handshake, then wait for the human's reply before the irreversible step. Only once they say go do you run beckett gh pr merge <num> --repo <owner/name> (see [[github]]). A "variant" answer ("merge to develop instead") → re-plan + a new handshake. If they never answer, the task is still delivered (honest terminal state) — the merge just isn't taken. You are the gate here: the reasoning to ask-first IS the handshake, so don't merge to main without an explicit go.

Rules

• One delivery message. No "let me know if you need anything else" filler.
• Don't claim success you didn't verify — if the gate flagged something, say so.
• Consider whether anything durable was learned (a new project fact, a worker observation) → remember it.
