Convert — XCUITest

Converts Apple's XCUITest UI test suites (Swift/Objective-C) to any supported target, and emits XCUITest from any source.

When to use

Trigger when:

• *UITests/ target in Xcode project alongside Tests/ unit target.
• Swift/Obj-C files with import XCTest.
• Class subclasses of XCTestCase with UI-related test methods (XCUIApplication usage).
• .xcodeproj / .xcworkspace with TEST_HOST / BUNDLE_LOADER configured for UI tests.
• XCUIApplication().launch() / app.launch() usage.
• app.buttons[...], app.textFields[...], app.staticTexts[...] query chains.
• scheme.xcscheme with testableReference pointing at UI tests target.

Scope

• Swift (primary) and Objective-C XCUITest sources.
• XCUIApplication, XCUIElement, XCUIElementQuery.
• All element types: buttons, textFields, secureTextFields, staticTexts, cells, switches, sliders, pickerWheels, alerts, sheets, otherElements, navigationBars, tabBars, toolbars, segmentedControls, scrollViews, tables, collectionViews, webViews.
• Actions: tap, doubleTap, press(forDuration:), twoFingerTap, typeText, clearText, swipeUp/Down/Left/Right, pinch(withScale:velocity:), rotate(_:withVelocity:), adjust(toNormalizedSliderPosition:), adjust(toPickerWheelValue:).
• Assertions: XCTAssertTrue, XCTAssertFalse, XCTAssertEqual, XCTAssertNotEqual, XCTAssertNil, XCTAssertNotNil, XCTAssertGreaterThan, XCTFail, XCTSkipIf/Unless.
• Waits: waitForExistence(timeout:), XCTNSPredicateExpectation, expectation(for:evaluatedWith:) + wait(for:timeout:).
• Launch configuration: app.launchArguments, app.launchEnvironment.
• UI interruption monitors (system alerts like push permissions, location, Face ID).
• Performance tests: measure(metrics:) { ... }.
• Test plans (.xctestplan) for config matrix.
• Page Object / Screen patterns.

Out of scope

• XCTest unit tests (non-UI) — separate framework; flag.
• SwiftUI preview tests — not XCUITest.
• Appium-driven iOS tests — use the appium source skill.
• macOS AppKit UI tests (technically XCUITest on macOS) — in scope but less common.
• tvOS / watchOS UI tests — partially in scope; flag for platform-specific tweaks.
