| description | Interview the user to define who they're creating content for |
An interactive interview to define your target audience. Helps you create content that resonates with a specific person, not a vague demographic.
"Let's define who you're creating for. The goal is to get specific enough that you can picture ONE person — not a demographic like '25-35 professionals.'
By the end, you'll have a profile you can reference every time you create something."
Ask:
"Think of someone who already loves what you do — a customer, follower, or friend who 'gets it.'
Can you describe them? What's their name, what do they do, what are they struggling with?"
If they can't think of someone:
"That's okay. Let's build a composite. Who do you WANT to help? What problem do they have that you can solve?"
Ask:
"What are the top 3 problems this person is dealing with?"
Then:
"What are they hoping to achieve? What does success look like for them?"
Then:
"What have they already tried that didn't work?"
Ask:
"Walk me through their day. When do they feel the problem most? Where are they when they'd encounter your content?"
This helps with:
Ask:
"How would THEY describe their problem? What words would they use?"
Then:
"What would make them skeptical of you? What objection would they have?"
