Presenter Framing
Overview
Choose the human/content relationship for a shot. The presenter should feel intentionally staged, not pushed into a tiny widget by default.
Decisions
Use these modes:
presenter-full: direct address, framing, trust, recap, or emotional emphasis.presenter-large-with-content: the presenter explains while content is present but secondary.content-with-presenter-side: content is inspectable; presenter remains present as guide.content-with-presenter-small: use sparingly for continuity, not as the default.voiceover-content: hide the presenter when motion, text, or generated video carries the idea better.presenter-return: bring presenter back after a content-heavy stretch.
Rules
- Do not keep the presenter tiny for important explanation.
- Do not cover focal content with the presenter or captions.
- For recorded vlog lessons, keep the presenter visible during content-dominant explanation unless the shot brief explicitly says voiceover-only.
- Keep presenter motion smooth and motivated by the spoken handoff.
- Treat the framed video/content as a real object on stage: it can appear, expand, slide, zoom, or become the full canvas.
- If the presenter is just waiting while content proves the point, switch to voiceover-content.
Presenter Dock Contract
Default to a rounded rectangular dock, not a circle:
presenter-dock-top-right: {x: 1430, y: 56, w: 420, h: 236, radius: 24}- Reserve that rectangle plus
32px padding in every content atom.
- If the focal content needs the top-right area, choose another named dock and record the reserved rectangle in the shot brief.
- The docked presenter video must stay time-synced with the main recording and muted if a continuous base audio track is already active.
- Content atoms using this dock must choose a layout that fits the content and the reserved dock. Do not force a left-stage or side-by-side composition; top-down, single-focus, or sequential builds are preferred when they avoid collisions.
- During presenter-to-canvas handoffs, do not animate a full-frame presenter over active content. Either reserve a transition-safe dock path that never crosses content, or cut the presenter directly into the dock before the content appears.
