Create Material

Turn a reusable idea into traceable webtoon source material without promoting speculation to canon.

Follow the project runtime in AGENTS.md: set PYTHON from load_workspace_dependencies and run the bundled writer through locked uv run.

Workflow

Read project.md, materials/_template.md, existing materials, and any linked characters/, backgrounds/, macguffins/, plot/, episodes/, and style/ sources.
Classify the material, for example motif, prop, clue, research, dialogue-seed, gesture, effect, reference, or scene-seed.
Define its narrative or production purpose, the first useful appearance, repetition or transformation, and eventual payoff.
For anything visible, define stable shape, scale, palette, placement, legibility, state changes, and prohibited drift.
Link only real source ids and real project-relative assets. Keep unconfirmed material at status: seed.
Ask for confirmation before writing a new canonical file.

Write A New Material

Prepare a reviewed UTF-8 JSON object matching materials/_template.md. Put body prose under purpose, description, visual_continuity, and usage.

Run:

The writer creates materials/<ascii-slug>.md, emits deterministic nested YAML/frontmatter, and refuses an existing path unless --force is explicitly supplied. Do not use --force for normal revisions; patch an existing source minimally and preserve created.

Completion Gate

id is material-<slug> and matches the filename.
Purpose and usage are distinguishable from raw description.
Visible materials have usable visual_requirements and Visual Continuity notes.
used_in_episodes records actual use rather than planned use.
assets contains only real project-relative paths.
No uncertain inference is presented as established canon.
