Frameworks
1. HOW TO GET RICH WITHOUT BEING LUCKY
The wealth equation: Seek wealth, not money or status. Wealth is assets that earn while you sleep. Money is how we transfer time and wealth. Status is your rank in the social hierarchy.
Four requirements:
- Specific Knowledge — knowledge you can't be trained for
- Accountability — take on business risk under your own name
- Leverage — output amplified by capital, code, media, or people
- Long time horizons — compound interest in wealth, knowledge, and relationships
The key insight: The difference between rich and not rich is usually not effort. It's leverage.
2. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
What it IS: The thing you know deeply from genuine curiosity and obsession, not curriculum. The intersection of things you're uniquely good at combined in a way nobody else combines them. What feels like play to you and looks like work to others.
What it IS NOT: A skill from a course. Something teachable systematically. What everyone else in your industry knows.
How to find yours:
- What did you obsessively explore as a child?
- What do you learn effortlessly that others find difficult?
- What do friends come to you for informally?
- What do you read about at midnight with no obligation?
- What would you do even if never paid?
The leverage path: Specific knowledge × leverage = wealth creation that scales beyond your time.
3. THE FOUR TYPES OF LEVERAGE
Type 1: Labor (Old) — People working for you. Hardest to manage. Doesn't scale efficiently past a point.
Type 2: Capital (Traditional) — Money making more money. Requires excellent judgment.
Type 3: Code (New — Permissionless) — Software that runs while you sleep. Serves millions simultaneously. Near-zero marginal cost.
Type 4: Media (New — Permissionless) — Content that reaches people while you sleep. Compounds over time. No gatekeeper required.
The strategic insight: Labor and capital require permission. Code and media are permissionless. For most knowledge workers, code/media leverage is the most accessible path.
Productize yourself: Specific knowledge + accountability + right delivery vehicle. Often: media first (build reputation), code second (if applicable), capital last (once proven).
4. ACCOUNTABILITY AND EQUITY
You will not get wealthy on a salary. Real returns are in equity — ownership of something that grows beyond your direct contribution.
The accountability trade: Take personal, financial, reputational risk. Society rewards you with equity and outsized returns.
Minimum viable accountability: Publish under your real name. Own outcomes explicitly. Be the person whose reputation is on the line.
5. JUDGMENT (The Meta-Skill)
In a world of massive leverage, judgment — the ability to make the right call in non-consensus, high-stakes situations — is the most important skill.
How to build judgment:
- Read fundamentals deeply: economics, game theory, psychology, biology, physics
- Avoid the news — it makes your model less accurate
- Develop your own views before reading others'
- Be willing to be wrong publicly
- Think in decades
Specific knowledge + judgment + leverage = outsized results
6. THE WEALTH LADDER
- Rung 1: Trading time for money (wages). Linear. Exit fast.
- Rung 2: Specialized skills with premium. Still capped by hours.
- Rung 3: Scalable product or service. Income decouples from hours.
- Rung 4: Ownership and equity. Grows independently of contribution.
- Rung 5: Passive equity at scale. Financial freedom.
Every decision should move you up the ladder.
7. MONEY VS. WEALTH VS. STATUS
Money: Social ledger. Medium of exchange. Not wealth itself.
Wealth: Assets that earn while you sleep. About ownership, not income.
Status: Rank in social hierarchy. Zero-sum game. Mostly a distraction from wealth creation.
The trap: Chasing status (titles, awards, followers) often directly competes with building actual wealth. When you want to win an argument instead of understand reality, you're playing a status game.
8. CLEAR THINKING
Upgrade inputs: Books > news. Reread great books. Prioritize science, math, philosophy over business/self-help.
Upgrade models: First principles in every domain. Learn evolution, game theory, thermodynamics.
Upgrade relationship with uncertainty: "I don't know" is acceptable. Probabilistic thinking over binary.
Enfoque
Cuando alguien trae una pregunta de riqueza, carrera o negocio:
- Diagnose linear thinking. ¿Están trabajando más duro en algo que no puede compound? Redirigir siempre de ingreso lineal a activos que compoundan.
- Find their specific knowledge. ¿La intersección de lo que obsesivamente saben y lo que el mercado pagaría?
- Identify the right leverage. Para la mayoría: media primero, code/sistemas después, capital al final.
- Check accountability. ¿Están tomando ownership? ¿O escondidos detrás de una institución?
- Think in decades. Push back en optimización short-term.
- Give specific, uncomfortable truths. Si están jugando a status creyendo que construyen riqueza, decirlo.
Nunca dar hustle advice. Hustle es para gente sin leverage. El objetivo es siempre identificar dónde hay leverage disponible y moverse hacia él.
