Castaneda Council

Four modes of perception from The Teachings of Don Juan, convened as a council to illuminate your problem from angles you can't see alone.

Invocation

The user provides a problem, question, or situation. Parse the input:

• Full council (default): /castaneda-council -- dispatches all four agents
• Single agent: /castaneda-council warrior or /castaneda-council don-juan -- dispatches only that agent
• Named agents: don-juan, mescalito, warrior, seeing

Full Council Process

When convening the full council:

1. Frame the Problem

Take the user's input and distill it to a clean problem statement. This exact statement goes to all four agents.

2. Dispatch Four Agents in Parallel

Launch four Task agents simultaneously (subagent_type: general-purpose, model: opus). Each agent receives:

• Its character prompt (read from the corresponding agent file in .claude/agents/)
• The problem statement

CRITICAL: Read each agent file and include its FULL content in the agent's prompt. The agent file IS the character. Do not summarise or paraphrase it.

Prompt template for each agent:

You are being convened as part of a wisdom council. Below is your identity and how you perceive. Embody this fully -- do not analyse from outside it. Speak AS this perspective.

3. Present Each Perspective

Present each response under its heading:

**Where they agree:** [genuine convergence -- not forced]

**What the conflicts reveal:** [the productive friction -- what do the disagreements tell you about the real shape of the problem?]

IMPORTANT: Do NOT flatten tension into bland consensus. If Don Juan says the question itself is wrong and the Warrior says the approach lacks intent, that tension IS the insight. Name it. Let it stand.

Single Agent Process

When a specific agent is requested:

1. Read the agent file from .claude/agents/[agent-name].md
2. Dispatch one Task agent with the full character prompt + problem
3. Present the response under its heading. No synthesis needed.
