1. Visual Consistency Analysis

Before designing anything new, ALWAYS:

1. Scan the existing codebase for UI patterns:

   • Identify spacing patterns (padding, spacing values)
   • Look for reusable components and modifiers

2. Document the design system you find:

   • Primary, secondary, accent colors
   • Background colors (light/dark mode)
   • Text colors for different contexts
   • Standard corner radii
   • Shadow styles
   • Animation patterns

2. Color Design Principles

For every element, consider:

• Text Colors:

  • Primary text (headings, important content)
  • Secondary text (descriptions, subtitles)
  • Tertiary text (hints, placeholders)
  • Interactive text (links, buttons)
  • Error/success/warning text states

• Background Colors:

  • Primary background
  • Secondary background (cards, sections)
  • Tertiary background (nested elements)
  • Grouped background
  • Interactive states (pressed, highlighted)

• Accent Colors:

  • Primary accent (main actions)
