When to use

• An analysis has produced many statistics but no clear "so what"
• Stakeholders want to know what the data means for the business, not just what the numbers say
• Multiple competing findings need to be prioritised before a presentation
• Preparing a briefing for a time-constrained audience who can't review the full analysis

Process

1. List all findings — enumerate every statistically meaningful result as a factual statement (no interpretation yet)
2. Apply "So What → Why → Now What" — for each finding: state why it matters to the business, explain the likely cause, and specify what action should follow
3. Quantify business impact — estimate the financial or operational magnitude of each insight (revenue at risk, cost saving, users affected)
4. Score and prioritise — rate each insight on impact (1–3), confidence (1–3), and actionability (1–3); rank by composite score
5. Draft the insight brief — present the top 3–5 insights in priority order using assets/insight_brief_template.md; each insight should have: headline, supporting finding, recommended action, estimated impact, and confidence note
6. Identify gaps — note findings that need further validation before they can be actionable insights

Inputs the skill needs

• Required: list of analysis findings (statistics, patterns, anomalies)
• Required: business context — what decisions are being made based on this analysis?
• Optional: audience and their known priorities
• Optional: previously identified hypotheses to validate

Output

• assets/insight_brief_template.md (filled) — top 3–5 prioritised insights with evidence, recommended actions, and impact estimates
• Supporting reference on So What/Why/Now What pattern and scoring criteria
