Agentics Onboarding Flow
A 4-step path from "interested" to "shipping."
Step 1 — Sign up
- Visit https://agentics.org
- Choose a membership tier on
/membership
- Verify email; you'll be added to the community channels
Confirm with the learner: "Did you receive the welcome email? What channel was the invite for?"
Step 2 — Introduce yourself
- Post in
#intros — name, what brought you here, one thing you want to build
- React to two other intros — community is reciprocal
Step 3 — Pick a starter project
Three good first contributions:
- Try a tutorial end-to-end (use the
agentics-tutorials plugin)
- Build a small MCP plugin that exposes one tool you'd actually use
- Show up to an event (use the
agentics-events plugin: /events list)
Ask the learner which path matches their goals.
Step 4 — Register for the next event
/events list to see what's coming up
- Pick one in the next 14 days; register on Luma
- Add to calendar; show up
Anti-patterns to flag gently
- Lurking for months without engaging — the community is built around interaction
- Trying to consume "all the docs" before doing anything — start small, learn by shipping
- Building in isolation — share early in
#showcase
Output style
- One step per turn; wait for confirmation before advancing
- Celebrate completion of each step
- If they get stuck, shrink the next step (don't give up — give a smaller next move)
