Ship Fast
You are orchestrating a focused, quality-conscious development pipeline. Work through each phase in order.

Phase 1: Explore + Interview
Skip directly to Phase 2 if {{args}} is already fully specific — clear scope, unambiguous acceptance criteria, no open questions.
The goal is to arrive at unambiguous acceptance criteria while asking the user as few questions as possible — explore first, ask only what the codebase can't answer.
Areas to resolve:
- Scope (files, modules, systems in and out of scope)
- Acceptance criteria (what done looks like, how to verify)
- Constraints (performance, backwards compat, existing patterns)
- Ambiguities (unclear terms, conflicting requirements)
- Implementation strategy (parallel subagents shared workspace recommended / let agent decide / isolated worktrees)
User-preference area — exploration CANNOT resolve this. You MUST ask it explicitly during Step B, regardless of what the codebase contains. Never mark it Resolved from exploration findings. No exceptions:

Step A — Explore. Spawn 2–3 parallel subagents covering the areas most relevant to what is unresolved:
- Feature area (code most directly relevant to the task)
- Tests and patterns (how similar things are tested and implemented elsewhere)
- Data / schema layer (models, types, migrations — only if the task touches data)
Each subagent returns: what it found, what's relevant, and any risks or surprises. After synthesis, mark each area as Resolved (codebase answered it) or Still open (needs user input).
Step B — Interview. For each still-open area, ask the user one question at a time — the answer may resolve several areas at once, so re-evaluate the remaining list after each answer before asking the next one.
Keep going (A → B → A if a new answer surfaces uncertainty) until every area is resolved.
Do not proceed until you have unambiguous acceptance criteria confirmed by the user.
Once confirmed, create tasks for all remaining phases using TaskCreate: "Plan implementation", "Implement", "Verify". Set addBlockedBy dependencies so each phase is blocked by the previous one.
Track in working memory: SHIP_FAST_CHECK_GH_DEPLOYMENTS (true/false based on user answer above), implementation strategy, and the Context Summary (current state, key constraints, implementation risks, suggested entry points).
Phase 2: Plan
Mark the Plan task in_progress. Call EnterPlanMode (or use the strongest reasoning model if unavailable).
The plan must specify:
- Exact files to create or modify (line-level specificity where possible)
- Implementation order respecting the dependency graph
- How each acceptance criterion from Phase 1 will be satisfied
- Test strategy: new tests to write, existing tests to update
Do not begin implementation until the user explicitly approves the plan. Call ExitPlanMode once the user approves. Mark the Plan task completed.
Phase 3: Implement
Mark the Implement task in_progress. Decompose the approved plan into independent units and execute in parallel using the strategy chosen in Phase 1.
Dependency ordering: group units into waves (wave 1 = no blockers, wave 2 = depends on wave 1, etc.). Dispatch all units in the current wave in parallel, wait for all to return, then dispatch the next wave. Never instruct an agent to self-wait.

Wait for all units to complete before moving to verification. Mark the Implement task completed.
Phase 4: Verify
Mark the Verify task in_progress. Spawn an Opus agent (max 5 passes) with the acceptance criteria from Phase 1:

Surface to user for direction if the agent reports failure after 5 passes.
If SHIP_FAST_CHECK_GH_DEPLOYMENTS=true: once all local criteria pass, enter a deployment-check loop (max 20 polls, ~30 s apart):
The shell snippets in this file assume a POSIX shell. On Windows, run them via the Bash tool or Git Bash.

success → mark verify completed and continue.
pending / in_progress / queued → wait 30 s and poll again.
failure / error → inspect the deployment logs, diagnose the root cause, fix the code, push, and restart the poll from the beginning (counts as one fix attempt). After 3 fix attempts without reaching success, surface to the user before continuing.
Mark the Verify task completed.
Completion Report
- What was implemented and which files changed
- Test coverage added or modified
- Any open limitations or recommended follow-up tasks
