Zoe Local Tools
Important local-install note
This skill file living inside the repository does not mean OpenClaw will automatically discover and use it on another machine.
To make it usable in a real OpenClaw workspace, install or copy this skill into one of these locations:
<workspace>/skills/zoe-local-tools/
~/.openclaw/skills/zoe-local-tools/
If you keep using the repo-local copy, make sure the helper script can resolve the real repository path via AI_DEVOPS_HOME.
Do not assume /home/user01/ai-devops exists.
Use this skill when the user asks you to do one of these things in the local ai-devops system:
- plan a high-level engineering task
- plan and immediately dispatch runnable subtasks
- dispatch an already archived plan
- inspect task or plan execution state
- list recent archived plans
Prefer these tools over manually reading tasks/, orchestrator/queue/, or .clawdbot/active-tasks.json when you only need structured status.
Helper Script
Use the helper script in this skill:

The helper script calls the local Zoe JSON tool adapter and returns structured JSON.
Before using it, ensure AI_DEVOPS_HOME points at the actual checkout path for this machine, or install a managed override of this skill whose script hardcodes the local path.
Prefer --args-file for any non-trivial payload so shell quoting does not corrupt JSON.
Recommended Workflow
- If you have not used these tools in the current session, run the health preflight first:

- Before
plan_and_dispatch_task, verify these conditions:
zoe-daemon.py is running, otherwise tasks will queue but never start
- the target repository exists under
$AI_DEVOPS_HOME/repos/<owner>/<repo> (or is linked there)
monitor.py is running if the user expects PR/CI progress tracking and completion updates
- Choose the right tool:
plan_task: generate a validated plan only
plan_and_dispatch_task: generate a plan and queue the first runnable subtasks
dispatch_plan: dispatch from an existing plan.json
task_status: inspect one task, one plan, or the whole active registry
list_plans: list recent archived plans
retry_task: manually retry a failed or blocked task by task_id
- For planning requests, send a complete payload. Minimum useful fields:

Response Handling
- If the tool returns
"ok": true, use result.
- If the tool returns
"ok": false, surface the error.message clearly.
- Do not leak secrets, environment values, or raw tokens.
- When planning succeeds, summarize the
planId, subtask count, and the first queued tasks if present.
