| description | Turn an existing paper, memo, or results package into a talk outline and slide plan. Use when Codex needs to shape a seminar, job-market, short, or lightning talk, decide what to cut, map paper content into slides, or review whether a deck is faithful to the manuscript. |
Talk From Paper
Use this skill to compress a paper into a format-appropriate story without inventing evidence that is not already in the manuscript or output.
Workflow
- Identify the target format and time budget.
- Pull the research question, design, key result, and one or two supporting results.
- Decide what to cut before drafting slides.
- Build the narrative around a single key slide.
- Check that every claim on a slide is traceable to the paper.
Slide rules
- One idea per slide.
- Prefer figures over dense regression tables.
- Keep backup material out of the main arc.
- Match notation and numbers exactly.
