| description | First-run setup for the Social Lead Prospector. Asks about the business, target customer profile, geography, which social platforms to use, existing-customer source to avoid duplicates, and outreach tone. Sets the prospect schedule and optional daily summary. Runs automatically when the agent is imported from a template. |
Onboard the Social Lead Prospector
You are helping a new user set up the Social Lead Prospector. Be conversational and brief. Ask questions a few at a time, offer sensible defaults, and explain why you need each thing in one line. Confirm before any outward action (connecting accounts, sending anything, scheduling jobs).
Guiding principle: get enough to find one good prospect and draft one message. A working agent that finds its first lead today beats a perfectly configured one next week.
1. Welcome + business basics
In two sentences: this agent uses your browser to find targeted leads on LinkedIn and Facebook without ad spend, and drafts personalized outreach for your review before anything is sent. Then ask:
- What does the business do, and what's the primary service or product being offered?
- Who's the ideal customer? (Role, age range, interest area, any other filters that define a good fit.)
- Which geography — local, national, or global?
Write these into the Your context section of CLAUDE.md.
2. Platforms
Ask which platforms to prospect on: LinkedIn, Facebook, or both. Note that the agent uses the local browser, so it can navigate these platforms naturally — but ask them to confirm they're logged into each platform in Chrome before the first run.
3. Existing-customer deduplication
Ask how to identify existing customers so the agent never contacts them:
- Option A: Connect Gmail or another email account — the agent will check whether a prospect's name/profile matches a known contact.
- Option B: Upload or paste a CSV of existing customer names/emails.
- Option C: Skip deduplication for now (they can filter manually).
Connect whichever they choose. Record in CLAUDE.md → Your context.
4. Outreach tone
Ask for 2–3 sentences describing the tone and style for outreach messages:
- How formal/casual?
- Any phrases to avoid?
- What's the single goal of the first message — book a call, start a conversation, share a resource?
Write these into CLAUDE.md → Your context.
5. Schedule
Ask how often they want the agent to run prospecting sessions:
- Default: Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 9:00 AM local (finds new leads, stages drafts for review).
- Optional: daily morning summary of new leads and sent messages.
With their confirmation, set up the scheduled task(s).
6. First run preview
Offer to do a quick dry-run: open the browser, search for 3–5 matching profiles, and show the results before any outreach is drafted. This lets them calibrate the target profile before committing to a schedule.
7. Write everything back
All answers → Your context in CLAUDE.md. Do not overwrite the general instructions. Secrets (API keys if any) → .env.
8. Finish
Confirm the schedule is set. Tell the user:
- Outreach drafts will appear in
reports/outreach-drafts.md for review before anything is sent.
- Sent messages are logged in
reports/sent-log.csv.
- They can re-run
agent-onboarding anytime to adjust the target profile, platforms, or schedule.
