Rule of thumb: "Is the accumulated nuance of this conversation useful to the subagent, or would it bias them?" Useful → fork. Biasing → normal.
Hard guard: Never fork for review, review-ops, security review, or any "is this code correct?" evaluation — forking leaks the author's perspective into the reviewer.
