Rules

• Before committing, check the current branch. If on main/master, warn and ask whether to create a new branch.
• Use conventional commits format (feat, fix, refactor, test, docs, chore, etc.).
• One logical change per commit.
• Commit message should focus on why, not what.
• Stage files individually by name. Never use git add . or git add -A.
• Do not commit unrelated changes.
