Use when the user wants to improve repo instruction files for agent work.

Workflow

1. Locate instruction files: AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, GEMINI.md, CODEX.md, .cursorrules.
2. Run bin/system-md-advisor audit or inspect the files manually.
3. Suggest the smallest useful patch.
4. Preserve repo-specific rules and user preferences.
5. Remove or replace vague rules.
6. Add missing workflow rules only when they fit the repo:
   • git status and dirty-work preservation
   • scoped branch for non-trivial work
   • exact verification command/reporting
   • progress.html update rule when present
   • finish-work commit/push/PR behavior

Guardrails

• Do not rewrite the entire file when a small patch works.
• Do not remove user preferences.
• Do not add generic process rules that conflict with the repo.
• Do not auto-edit instruction files unless the user asked for edits.
