Raw output

The global --raw option strips page status, generated code, and snapshot sections from the output, returning only the result value. Use it to pipe command output into other tools. Commands that don't produce output return nothing.

Snapshots

After each command, playwright-cli provides a snapshot of the current browser state.

You can also take a snapshot on demand using playwright-cli snapshot command. All the options below can be combined as needed.

Targeting elements

By default, use refs from the snapshot to interact with page elements.

Important: Session Lifetime

• NEVER close an existing running browser session — the user may be actively using it.
• Only close sessions you just opened for a specific task, and only when the user says they're done.
• If you need a new session for a quick task while one is already open, use a named session:

  Then close only that named session when done:

Installation

If global playwright-cli command is not available, try a local version via npx playwright-cli:

LinkedIn Company Page Analytics

Scrape LinkedIn company page post analytics and generate visualizations. This tool automatically visits your LinkedIn company page, extracts post data (excluding ads), and creates a comprehensive analytics dashboard.

What It Does

1. Opens LinkedIn company page admin (requires prior authentication)
2. Expands analytics by clicking all "Preview results" buttons
3. Scrapes last 10 posts (excluding sponsored/ad posts)
4. Generates 4-panel visualization dashboard with:
   • Engagement Rate by Post
   • Click-Through Rate by Post
   • Impressions vs Engagements (bubble size = reactions)
   • Reactions vs Reposts
5. Exports CSV with all post data
6. Prints image path for easy opening

Requirements

• Python 3.10+
• playwright-cli (must be installed)
• UV package manager
• LinkedIn account with company page admin access
• Pre-authenticated browser session (login to LinkedIn first)

How It Works

The script uses a tree-based YAML parser to parse Playwright accessibility snapshots:

• Parses indentation to build parent-child relationships
• Detects post sections by "Feed post number X" headings
• Extracts analytics from "Post performance" sections
• Filters out ad posts (those without analytics sections)
• Handles edge cases: comma-separated numbers, singular/plural labels, content pollution

Troubleshooting

No posts found: Ensure you're logged into LinkedIn and have admin access to the company page.

Timeout errors: LinkedIn may load slowly. The script has built-in retries.

Missing analytics: The script automatically clicks "Preview results" buttons. If some posts still show 0 impressions, they may be too new (data not yet available).

Configuration

Edit scripts/src/pwcli/linkedin/analytics.py to change:

• MAX_POSTS - Number of posts to scrape (default: 10)
• OUTPUT_DIR - Where to save files
