Get an independent cross-model code review from Anthropic Claude (a different vendor's model) on the current review scope: branch diff plus staged, unstaged, and untracked working tree changes, from inside a non-Claude host such as Codex. A different training distribution has non-overlapping blind spots, so Claude catches spec ambiguity, missing edge cases, and fake tests that Codex's self-review cannot see. claude-review — independent second opinion from Claude

Self-review shares the author's blind spots: the reviewer is the same model that wrote the code, working from the same assumptions. A different-vendor model (Anthropic Claude) has a different training distribution, so its blind spots do not overlap with Codex's. One side writes, the other side challenges — a cheap QA pass.

This skill runs the Claude Code CLI (claude -p) as a read-only reviewer and presents its output verbatim. Claude is given only read tools, so it cannot edit your code.

When to use

• Before merging an important diff (last gate).
• After writing a spec / tests — ask Claude to find ambiguity and weak assertions.
• A hard bug whose root cause is unclear (independent diagnosis).

Step 2 — Run the review (read-only tools, 330s)

Claude runs in print mode with only Read,Grep,Glob (no Bash/Edit/Write), so it can inspect repo files for context but cannot modify anything. --disable-slash-commands and the DIFF_START/DIFF_END markers defend against prompt injection from diff content. The filesystem-boundary prefix keeps Claude on repository code instead of crawling the host's agent skill definitions. Claude Code also persists print-mode sessions to ~/.claude/projects/<project>/<session-id>.jsonl unless CLAUDE_CODE_SKIP_PROMPT_HISTORY or --no-session-persistence disables it; this skill intentionally does not pass --no-session-persistence, so stdout capture failures can recover the final assistant text from the session transcript.

• Show Claude's output verbatim — do not summarize or soften it.
• Gate: any [P1] → FAIL (do not merge until addressed). Only [P2] or none → PASS.
• End with one line: Recommendation: <action> because <names the most actionable finding>.
• Cross-model note: Claude agreeing with your own read raises confidence; where it diverges is where to dig. Agreement is a recommendation, not a decision — you decide.
