Store Brand Preference

• Prefer the good Kroger store brand for commodity items when quality is comparable.
• Treat Private Selection as the premium Kroger store brand. If the user says Private Reserve, interpret that as Private Selection.
• Use regular Kroger brand for basic commodity items when it is the appropriate store-brand option.

Sale And Price Preference

• Buy a brand-name product when it is normally priced above the comparable Kroger or Private Selection option but is currently on sale below that comparable store-brand price.
• If no Kroger or Private Selection option is available, choose the cheapest suitable brand-name option, usually the sale item.
• Compare package size and unit price when visible; do not prefer a cheaper package if it is clearly the wrong size or form for the recipe.
• When the comparison is unclear, keep 2-3 candidates and mark the recommendation as needs review.

Shopping List Organization

• Ordinary weekly shopping lists should stay organized by grocery section unless the user asks for aisle/location organization.
• When the user asks for an aisle-organized or store-walkable final list, group known storeLocation values first, sort numbered aisles numerically, put broad departments after aisles, and put unknown locations last.
