Convert — Katalon Studio / Katalon Recorder

Converts Katalon Studio (Groovy) and Katalon Recorder (JSON) test suites to any supported target, and emits Katalon from any source.

When to use

Trigger when:

• .prj / .prj.tmp / .classpath / .groovy files alongside Test Cases/, Test Suites/, Object Repository/, Scripts/, Profiles/ folders.
• Groovy scripts importing com.kms.katalon.core.* or internal.GlobalVariable.
• WebUI.* / Mobile.* / WS.* keyword calls.
• findTestObject('Object Repository/Page_X/obj_Y') lookups.
• Katalon Recorder JSON export with commands[] array (HTML/JSON sides in browser extension).
• .katalonrc / settings/internal/*.properties config files.

• Test Suites: .ts metadata (list of tests + data bindings).
• Test Suite Collections: parallel/sequential execution groups.
• Object Repository: .rs test objects with multi-strategy locators (xpath, css, attribute).
• Global Variables: GlobalVariable.X references, profile-scoped.
• Custom Keywords (Groovy classes extending built-ins).

Out of scope

• Katalon TestOps cloud dashboards (analytics metadata only).
• Katalon Platform Recorder (proprietary recording binary) — export to Groovy first.
