Convert — Taiko

Converts Taiko automation scripts to any supported target, and emits Taiko from any source.

When to use

Trigger when:

Imports: const { goto, click, write, textBox, button, text, into, near, below, openBrowser, closeBrowser } = require('taiko').
package.json with taiko dep.
.taikorc / taiko.json / taikorc.json config.
REPL-origin scripts: headers/comments like // Powered by Taiko Recorder.
Paired with Gauge: specs/ folder with .spec files + tests/step_implementations/.
API style: first-class proximity locators (near, below, above, toLeftOf, toRightOf).

Read the master orchestrator first.

Scope

Taiko 1.x / 2.x.
Standalone scripts and Gauge-backed specs.
Selector builders: textBox, button, link, image, checkBox, radioButton, dropDown, fileField, color, range, text, $.
Relative locators: near, below, above, toLeftOf, toRightOf, within.
Lifecycle: openBrowser, closeBrowser, openTab, closeTab, goto, reload.
Interactions: click, doubleClick, rightClick, write, attach, press, hover, dragAndDrop, scrollTo, scrollUp, scrollDown, focus.
Assertions via Node assert / Chai / Gauge's assert.
Emulation: device emulation, geolocation, network, permission.

Out of scope

Taiko REPL interactive mode — use exported script.
