Quick Reference
Turn a broad business goal into a focused strategy. Force focus: one objective, one segment,
one wedge channel.
Process
- Objective + horizon (measurable).
- Target segment + job to be done (specific, not "everyone").
- Positioning: alternatives, unique attributes, value, why this segment wins with you.
- Go-to-market motion + one wedge channel to win first.
- Business model + pricing (anchored to value).
- North-star metric + dated OKRs.
- Assumptions ranked by risk; a cheap experiment for the riskiest one before the big bet.
- The 90-day bets, then the one thing to do first.
Standards
- One objective, one segment, one wedge. Focus is the product.
- Positioning in the customer's terms, against real alternatives.
- Every goal measurable. Name what you are deliberately not doing.
- Strategy and frameworks only, never personalized financial/investment advice.
Run plan_lint with type: "strategy" on the draft and fix what it flags.
